SANDRA:
I really enjoyed the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the restaurant. I especially liked the fact that Amy and I were allowed to be seated while we waited for everyone else to trickle in. (Pet peeve alert: restauarants that refuse to seat a party until even the very last person has shown up. Grr.) The dinner was really good, although regrettably I filled up on the chips and salsa! The cheese enchiladas were a little on the small side but that was okay because my dinner came with two of them, plus a bean burrito AND a guacamole taco. (A phenomenal invention, the guacamole taco. I could eat only guacamole and be a very happy woman.) To sum up, good food and a nice relaxed atmosphere made for a great evening. I'll definitely go back.

CHRISTIAN:
Was it the company of two such lovely young ladies or the giddy thrill of my bachelor(ette) party? Actually, hanging out with Amy and Sandra was just like being on "Sex in the City" (until Bryce and Conrad showed up to cramp what little style I have). The salsa ("salsar" to our British friends) was the perfect consistency (wow, did he say "perfect"?). Chips were the right size and would have met even Peter's high standards. My "Navajo" platter (two enchiladas and a taco, rice, and beans) was plentiful and not terribly expensive ($9.95 I think. I don't know for sure 'cause my pals paid for me. Thanks again. You guys are tops. I should get married more often.) The special "bachelorette" party desert was fried ice cream. Fried + ice cream = perfect. You're damn right I'll be back.

BRYCE:
Although I've eaten there many times, this time I'd already eaten and just chose to drink beer and sample their blue, red and regular corn, tortilla chips with their delicious non-chunky (my preference) salsa. However, what I like about this place is that it serves good quality Mexican/New Mexican food at reasonable prices. As a former resident of the State of New Mexico I also appreciate that they use red or green chile in a lot of their dishes or showcase the chile in a certain few nightly specials, which goes along with the New Mexican or Santa Fe theme. Anyway, I go there for the food and thats really the only reason because this basement level restaurant doesn't have much in the way of ambiance, but the woman that's the proprietor makes up for some of it with her hospitality and friendly attitude. I believe it is the food, reasonable, prices, and the above-average service that give this business a faithful clientele, some of whom I've noticed again at different times on my own return visits.

AMY:
The atmosphere is adequately Tex-Mex. The service was good and very friendly, particularly from a woman who seemed to be the owner. I had the black bean soup and a gringo salad. Both were a bargain. The salad was just a simple side salad, but fine for that purpose. The black bean soup was very tasty with a big dollop of sour cream in the middle. There is ham in it, so it's not for vegetarians, but it was very good. The fried ice cream appeared to be coated in corn flakes. Personally, I like my fried ice cream to have a coconut coating. I didn't like the strawberry margarita, which was syrupy on the bottom and icy on top, and served in an ordinary Gibralter drinking glass as opposed to a margarita glass.

Also in attendance was John.
